Cosmetics Testing for China
The test report for the registration or filing of cosmetics must be issued by cosmetic registration and filing inspection institutions. The test report must conform with the requirements of the Technical Standards for Cosmetics, the Working Rules for Cosmetic Registration and Filing as well as other regulations.
China Cosmetic Ingredient Database (China CosIng)
CIRS Group is pleased to announce the launch of China CosIng, a Chinese Cosmetic Ingredient Regulatory Database that allows domestic and overseas cosmetic companies and ingredient suppliers to quickly search whether a cosmetic ingredient or substance is listed in the latest version of the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC 2021 edition) and whether it is restricted or prohibited in cosmetic products placed on Chinese market.
Disinfection Product Testing
In terms of the purpose, this kind of products is used for disease prevention, but not for disease treatment or diagnosis; in terms of mechanism, it can eliminate pathogenic microorganisms by chemical, physical and biological methods, rather than pharmacological or immunological methods; in terms of the object of action, it mainly focused on pathogenic microorganisms in the environment rather than diseases.
Cosmetic Safety and Efficacy Evaluation
According to the Supervision and Administration Regulations (CSAR), the efficacy claims of cosmetics should have a sufficient scientific basis. Cosmetics registrant and filer should publish a summary of the literature, research data or product efficacy evaluation information on the efficacy claims to the NMPA designated website for public supervision. Cosmetic registrant and filer should be responsible for the scientificity, authenticity, reliability and traceability of the submitted summary of the basis for the efficacy claims.
China New Cosmetic Ingredients Registration and Filing
Under Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulations (CSAR) issued in 2020, companies shall apply for the registration and filing of cosmetic ingredients not listed in the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC 2021). New cosmetic ingredients refer to natural or artificial raw materials used in cosmetics for the first time in China. China Cosmetics Registration and Filing
Under Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulations (CSAR) issued in 2020, cosmetics are divided into special cosmetics and ordinary cosmetics. Special cosmetics are products for the function of anti-freckle/whitening, sunscreen, hair dye, hair perm, anti-hair loss and new efficacies. Ordinary cosmetics are cosmetics other than special cosmetics. Companies who plan to place cosmetics on Chinese market must apply for the registration or filing with the NMPA or provincial MPA to get approval license or filing certificate. Toothpaste will be regulated as ordinary cosmetics.
