The application products include aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, Monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate, ammonium chloride, boric acid, antimony trioxide, silicon, etc. Organic flame retardants mainly include organic halides (organo bromine and organic chlorine), organic phosphide, organic nitrogen, and organic phosphorus/nitrogen intumescent type.

On May 15th, 2020, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China issued the "2020 Volatile Organic Compounds Governance Plan (Draft for Comments)", which clearly stated that from July 1st, 2020, the production, sales and use of ship coating and floor coating should meet the newly promulgated and implemented national product harmful substance limit standards, architectural coating and adhesive products in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region must meet the requirements of the "Volatile Organic Compound Content Limit Standard for architectural coating and Adhesives".
